Follow the mystical tales and stories on comfortably secure steps 300 m deep into the fascinating world of ancient times. 120 million year old rock formations accompany you on the brightly lit path to the Dragon Gate, past the cave mouth to the cave boiler.

180 steps open the view of the lower floor of the cave with the gurgling and roaring cave creek since over a hundred years. 

The only gap cavity of the Allgäu promises all year round face to face adventure deep within the earth. It is safe and easy with sturdy shoes and has constantly 4 degrees Celsius.

 

Guided Tours

Duration about 30 minutes (please check times at the Tourist Information)

  • Summer from May to early November
  • Winter from Christmas Day to Sunday after Easter
  • Winter: closed Monday and Tuesday except Christmas and Easter holidays!

Please allow a little spare time, since it takes about 5-10 minutes to travel from the cash register stand up to the cave entrance.

Guests within the Hörnerdörfer region with AllgäuWalserCard have free admission!

Please note that larger backpacks, children's backpacks, etc. are not suitable for the cave and pets are not allowed.
