Sonnenalp trail - cross-country skiing in Ofterschwang

Besides flat sections in Tiefenberger Moos also some climbs in beautiful Allgäuer winter landscape between Ofterschwang and Bolsterlang. Use of the Sonnenalp trail is free of charge. It offers connections to the Bolsterlang cross-country course.
In addition to flat sections in Tiefenberger Moos also some climbs in beautiful Allgäuer winter landscape. Use of the cross-country ski run is free of charge. The Sonnenalprunde is tracked for classic as well as for skating and leads with 8 km length around the Tiefenberger Moos near Ofterschwang and over the golf course Sonnenalp. With connections to the Bolsterlang cross-country ski runs and further to Fischen, you can round off this run or alternatively change it in many different ways. Recommended entry at the free car parking in Tiefenberg (near the B19). On the road to Muderbolz, there are also some parking spots at the side of the road, close-by to the cross-country ski run.

You can hire cross-country equipment at the Oberallgäu winter sports school at the base station of the Weltcup-Express in Ofterschwang.

Turn-by-turn directions
The Sonnenalp trail leads you from Tiefenberg clockwise southwards and then westwards through forests and open spaces around the Tiefenberg Moos in direction Dietrichs. In between, there is a link to the north for the smaller round back to Tiefenberg. Follow the cross-country ski trail towards Dietrichs, you will get to more challenging climbes and descents. Just north of Kierwang, the cross-country trail leads north to Sigiswang and from here it heads eastwards via Muderbolz via the golf hoouse, horse riding stable and past the Sonennalp Resort back to Tiefenberg.
Getting there
Via B19 direction Oberstdorf between Sonthofen and Fischen at traffic light crossing turn right to Ofterschwang. Follow approx. 300m to the parking area on the left at the entrance to Tiefenberg.
Parking
Free parking is available in Tiefenberg and furtheron on the side of the road between Tiefenberg and Muderbolz.
