Located at an altitude of about 1200 m, the Herzberg Alpe is farmed during the alpine summer by the family Natterer from Obermaiselstein.

Below the mountain pass of the Riedberg is the Herzberg Alpe, which is managed by Monika and Thomas Natterer since 1977. In addition to the meadows and pastures of the Herzberg Alpe about 100 head of cattle that are tended during the alpine summer by Natterer Thomas himself and his assistant, also graze on the nearby meadows of the Grasgehren Alpe.

While the men tend the cattle, Monika offers, together with her daughter Jule, delicious homemade pastries, light snacks and refreshing drinks at the Alpe.
