The Alpe Hoernle is located at 1.384 m altitude and is owned by the Alp-cooperative Hörnle

On the alpine meadows of the Alpe Hörnle about 250 young cattle, 2 cows and about 14 Haflinger horses graze during summer.

Visit us and enjoy our spacious sun terrace, savory snacks, milk, butter milk, drinks, coffee and homemade cakes daily.

For adults, we offer a splendid view of the Gottesackerplateau and the Oberstdorf mountains and for children, we have a large playground with trampoline, swings and sandpit. We are an ideal destination for the whole family. You can reach us from Grasgehren at the Riedbergpass in about 45 minutes, or from the parking lot at the barrier on Riedbergpass in about 30 minutes on paved paths, which are also very easy to drive with the stroller.

Our hiking tip:

From Grasgehren up to the Riedbergerhorn, pass the Mittelalpe over to Alpe Hörnle and via the Hörnle barn back to Grasgehren. Total walking time about 3 hours.
