The alpine dairy specializes primarily in the famous Allgäu mountain cheese. They also offer many other delicious cheese varieties from the entire Allgäu region.
At the Alpine Dairy Schweineberg, peasant traditions and modern technology form a harmonious combination. Firstly, one attaches importance to traditional lifestyle and landscape care - on the other hand, high-quality dairy and cheese products are produced in the well organized mountain dairy.
Six farmers from little village of Schweineberg and the surrounding area deliver the milk on the shortest route to the dairy, where it is processed daily. the expert cheesemaker finally transforms the quality hay milk on basis of traditional methods of production and recipes to unique mountain cheese.
Authenticity tastes best. According to this motto we produce Allgäuer mountain cheese of the highest quality with first class taste. This genuine and original Allgäu specialty has originated in the region and is cultivated here for centuries. It used to be home to the alpine huts, the so-called "Sennalpen", today it is also common in the valleys. The dairy offers its mountain cheese and butter from own production as well as a further 15 different Allgäuer cheese varieties in the little shop, which adjoins directly to the dairy. A guided tour is offered where you can learn everything about the production.
