Alpe Bolgen

Family-friendly alpine pasture with a magnificent view of the Allgäu mountains. For homemade cakes, they use alp butter and spelled flour. With children's playground.

The Alpe Bolgen is located at 1,368m below the Riedbergerhorn. It is owned by the Alpengenossenschaft Bolgen.

On the pastures of Alpe Bolgen spend approx. 245 pieces of cattle, 2 dairy cows, 2 pigs and 1 donkey the summer. Visit us and enjoy snacks, drinks, coffee and homemade cakes.

How to reach us:
The Alpe Bolgen can be reached from the Hörnerbahn Bolsterlang, the cable-car mountain station, on a well-developed hiking trail past the Berghaus Schwaben and after 500 meters downhill to the Alpe Bolgen. Walking time approx. 1 ¼ hours. Back on the alpine path Bolgental to Alpe Zunkleiten and from there turn left over the Sonderdorfer Kreuz back to the cable-car valley-station of the Hörnerbahn. Walking time from Alpe Bolgen approx. 1 ½ hours.

Special: We use local products and bake our cakes with butter and spelled flour. Daily fresh milk and dairy products. Children's playground.
